'Assertive People' - Simple Text
Feelings
People are able to think about their feelings, which will usually result in their being able to reason why these feelings occurred.
However, if the feelings are a caused by painful memories and the person does not wish to bring them to mind, it may be safer to leave them as they are.
Asking a person how they are feeling may prove more productive that asking them how their health is, because the latter may be more difficult to quantify.
An assertive person will always be aware of other people's feelings.
Giving other people the opportunity to give their point of view may circumvent their feelings being hurt, if a course of action cannot be avoided.
